Rose Otto Packaging

  • Proper packaging and storage of the precious Bulgarian Rose Oil is important to preserve its quality and unlimited expiration term. We at Alteya pay special attention to how our rose oil is packed for delivery to our customers worldwide. Please refer to the information below for the different types of rose oil packaging we use: including copper concums, aluminum containers, and glass bottles.

  • Concums

In the history of rose oil production, the traditional vessel for carrying Bulgarian rose oil (rose otto) is a round tinned copper vessel called “Concum”. All concums are handmade following a time-honored technique that is more than 300 years old. The concums primary use is to store and transport the rose oil often referred to as “liquid gold” because of its rarity, immense customer demand and high price.

Concums are usually wrapped with the customary Bulgarian cloth and carry a “Bulgarian Rose” wax seal on the top to guarantee the product inspection and certification by the laboratory and company representatives. Each rose oil concum also carries a Certificate of Analysis and Production Batch Number as well as a COA number.
